Miscellaneous Index Books At The GRO

WAR DEATHS
I first listed the casualties from WW1 from the Miscellaneous Section Index books at the GRO (when their indexes were sited at St Catherines House, then at The Family Records Centre, Middleton Street, Islington, LONDON N1.).

Similar information can be viewed over the Internet at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site http://www.cwgc.org. The added advantage to looking on the CWGC site is it mentions casualties from the Commonwealth countries in both wars and sometimes includes spouses or parents names and home addresses. There are not that many entries for Glasby, Glassby or Glasbey.

2018 is the anniversary of the end of World War 1 so there is much more information on the subscription sites about those who served.

The following information is from the GRO Miscellaneous Section:-
